This was an installation at Modern Art Oxford comprising of a Steel Cube,
Three Books, Documentation Photographs and Accompanying Sound Piece. Minutes of silence were recorded across the world and recorded with photographs.
This steel cube was hand-welded and taken across the world, inside it a recorder was placed to capture minutes of silence. The steel cube is designed to be an ephemeral and outdoor sculpture, there are small signs of rust. However, if you require varnishing please inform amy@lostfoundandlovedagain on purchase and this will be done at no further cost.
2,370 fragments and traces of past memories were collected throughout the month of August 2006. After developing a number system that described each object perfectly and a mathematical formula, 'August' was produced. An unemotional recount of 2,370 moments. This pencil on paper hand drawn piece is 12 feet wide. It includes 3 books which document the moments, an iron sculpture and a series of coloured prints.
This hand welded sculpture was created by producing mathematical formulae which allowed the 1st of August to be recreated three dimensionally.
